    Call for Papers: Postgraduate Conference,16 September 2009, British Postal Museum and Archive, London. War had a profound effect on British politics and society, changing its social, political and economic dynamics, and blurring the previously well-defined gender distinctions of patriarchal society. Significantly, it changed women’s societal position immensely.

  • Delivering the Mail: A BPMA stamp sheet

    16 June 2009

    Adrian Bradbury and the BPMA have collaborated on a new stamp sheet entitled Delivering the Mail, which traces the early history of the British postal system. The sheet is limited to 1000 and £1 from each sheet sold will support the BPMA's charitable activity, such as education, outreach and access. This is the first in a series of stamp sheets to be issued annually by Adrian Bradbury in association with the BPMA.

  • BPMA assists BBC Radio 4

    12 June 2009

    The BPMA has assisted the radio programme 'Punt PI' in its quest to find out whether TV detector vans were an urban myth. The programme hosted by comedian Steve Punt and featuring interviews with several BPMA staff airs on BBC Radio 4 on Saturday 13 June at 10:30am.
